Virtually Speaking
Many thanks to President Murphy and team for quickly organizing a Zoom meeting when a Covid related concern caused an abrupt shift from an in person to virtual gathering. We trust the Rotarian that recently tested positive is doing just fine.

The meeting was scheduled to be a strategic planning event, this important dialog will take place soon at a future meeting, TBD. It was suggested that a summary of the proposals and ideas around the strategic plan be emailed to members in advance of the session once scheduled.

Alex Reczkowski announced the Crane Paper Sale to benefit the Dalton CRA will be held Friday October 1 and Saturday October 2, each day from 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM. The sale takes place at the CRA, 400 Main Street, Dalton.

Dave Hall regaled those in virtual attendance with "back in the day" photos of the St. Joe's High School hoops team. To protect the innocent, we have decided not to publish the pictures. Certainly, everyone was left to wonder where the time went! Thanks for sharing the photos which we are told are on display at the Sideline pub.

In Memoriam
President Murphy brings to our attention the recent passing of former Rotarian and "all around wonderful guy" Conrad Bernier

Mr. Bernier was just 75 years old when he passed on September 19th in a Boston area hospital. He had suffered for some years with an autonomic disfunction that caused decreasing blood pressure.

The complete obituary is available by following this link:

Rest in peace good fellow.

Notes & Asides
October Already: The Red Sox are still in it as we write this edition and our Patriots really looked good on Sunday night. One doink off the upright denied the boys a chance to beat the GOAT. Hard to believe fall is upon us, here's to wonderful autumn weather with three cheers to our local high school, college and pro teams. Let's Go!

Zoom Zoom: As announced in various forms, luncheon meetings are now available live via Zoom. If you cannot make our weekly gathering, please consider streaming the event via the following link https://us06web.zoom.us/j/84791340270?pwd=bm1zNkJPemF0MGJoLzZncW5KS3Judz09
