Due to the aforementioned light attendance last week, and the fact that each and every Rotarian on the naughty list was dutifully absent at the meeting, the R & D Team at Sparks Tower trotted out an idea they have been working on, namely self service fines. The concept worked surprisingly well as there a few guilt ridden dollars contributed to the coffers but there was lots of happiness in the room that produced a decent cash haul just the same. Of note, Alex Reczkowski contributed the one sad dollar garnered last week, and it appears to be Fred Dery's fault! We will get back to the impeccably delivered penance by The Ministry of Finance this week however we have proven that just like the grocery store checkout, we can make self service work in a pinch!Self Serve?
