Greetings fellow Rotarians,

Last month I joined a number of our neighboring districts in signing the Operation Pollination Resolution pledging to urge our clubs to do more to create pollinator habitat. As you are aware, insects, birds and some animals play a very important role in pollinating the plants that provide us with flowers, fruit and other sources of plant food. The loss of habitat for pollination is decreasing at an alarming rate. I ask clubs and club members to consider creating projects to increase the habitat both at home and in your communities. The environment is one of our seven areas of focus and the pollination effort fits very nicely within that area.
