Conditions were perfect for an outstanding evening lakeside at Proprietor’s Lodge for our August 3^rd Thursday social. Regrettably, member turnout was light. Those attending enjoyed views of the lake, great weather, good food, and the fellowship of other members and spouses, but couldn’t escape the question of “Where is everyone?” Perhaps it’s time for a Club conversation about 3^rd Thursday, because turnout at Camp Stevenson-Witawentin in June (an important Club president transition event), and Zinky’s in July were also disappointing.

Three birthdays to celebrate since our last meeting: Richard LaFleche (8/12), Erik Ungewitter (8/17), and Marshall Raser (8/18); and two Club anniversaries: Amy McNally (1year a/o 8/14/2023) and Joe McGovern (6 years a/o 8/16/2018).

 

With 42 cards in the deck, at our last meeting the pot grew $23 to $238 and is still up for grabs.
