The always effervescent and newly inaugurated President Alex Reczkowski continues the fast pace we have grown accustomed to! We will cover some of the President's plans for the new year in later issues, here's a recap of the last week or so from the West Wing:

 

Networking: DGN Vin Marinaro & President Alex hosted Canadian Rotarian Barb Babij for lunch on Thursday, July 7th. Barb grew up in Pittsfield (you might remember her as Barb Loveman), and now calls Niagara-on-the-Lake home. She's currently Treasurer of the active NOTL Rotary Club -- check out their website; they have some interesting (and very successful) fundraisers!   

                                                           

Recruiting Rotarians:  President Alex met with Nantucket Rotary Club president Janet Forest to help welcome her to the Berkshires and invite her to Berkshire Rotary. Read about Rotarian Janet's upcoming move from Nantucket and to the Berkshires in a recent Boston Globe article. 

2022-23 dues bills have been sent out to membership via email. Invoices include pre-paying for 44 lunches. If you want a revised invoice that excludes meals, or you want a paper invoice, please contact Jeff Hassett.

Our first 3rd Thursday event - at 3rd Thursday! Please join us at the Common for our dunk tank spectacular! The event gets underway at 5:00 PM, all are encouraged to join us and maybe even take a dip, or dunk your favorite Rotarian! There may be heavy thunderstorms Thursday, please keep a weather eye! - the event is planned rain or shine.

No birthdays to celebrate this week; One Club anniversary: Jeff Hassett 16 years (7.27.06), Congrats to Jeff!

With no luncheon there was no winner this week, therefore $137 gets rolled into this week's pot, with 46 cards left in the deck. Pot now up to a full tank of gas, three cans of soda and a low mileage beef and bean burrito.
