A BIG THANK YOU goes out to Mr. John Perreault (our fellow Rotarian) for inviting us to a lovely evening soiree at the Berkshire Humane Society! John gave us a glimpse into his everyday world. We got a chance to visit the facility and see how everyday matters are handled. Also, seeing all those wonderful animals that we can adopt. Between dogs, cats, hamsters and a fluffy bunny - it is just too difficult to choose! John runs a tight shift and makes sure all those animals are cared for as if they were his own. Come Down and Adopt a friend today!

 

As deemed appropriate with the theme, the soiree festivities included "Who Let The Dogs Out" hotdogs, some cold brewskies and to complete the night a Magic Show Spectacular by our very own Eric Schaffer, Magician Extraordinaire!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

"ABRACADABRA"

 

This was the secret word of the evening at the Magic Show Spectacular held at the Berkshire Humane Society by our very own Rotarian and Magician Extraordinaire, Eric Schaffer! Eric is no newbie to the world of magic! His father took him to his 1st magic shop when he was around 8 years old. During his teenager years, he performed children's magic shows. When he had is A/C Co, he did shows at company parties. After a little break from performing, he came back, refreshed his skills, and placed an amazing magic show for all his fellow Rotarians during the soiree at the Berkshire Human Society. 

 

With his handy "Box of Tricks", Eric bedazzled all of his fellow Rotarians with magic tricks, including card tricks, disappearing/reappearing acts, pulling all sorts of items out of various objects, the dice & dagger trick, and no one can forget how Eric's dog magically donated what everyone originally thought was an empty box of dog biscuits to the shelter! The dog biscuits and other items just magically appeared with a belated B-Day wish for Mr. Forfa as an extra bonus!
