"Save the Date" postcards for our 2023 Auction are now available. Please see Robert Harrison for as many as you would like to send or give out. These cards include free admission to the auction on April 1, 2023. Commitment sheets were distributed at last week's meeting. If you didn't get yours, contact Robert Harrison. Review your commitments and let Robert know this week those items you are unable to secure. Advertising forms will be distributed this week. Don Kuczarski is coordinating that effort, so get completed forms and cash to him. As previously, auction items go to Molari. Start securing your items. so Ron Latham can begin data entry.
The Club's wine pairing dinner previously scheduled for March has been postponed until September 9, 2023. We rely on our auction to generate event ticket sales to non-member. With our auction this year on April 1, we have less opportunity to market sales to non-members.
At the December board meeting, the Executive Committee approved the donation of $1,000 to ten food pantries, for a total of $10,000. Our food drive collected $4,246, so the balance of $5,754 was approved from Club benevolence funds. The Board decided to move away from the separate donation account that we set up at Harry's supermarket in favor of donate $1000 to directly to each of the ten pantries. The Club is hoping to present the ten donation checks at our meeting on March 9.
Last week's member minute was provide by John Hudnall, who is currently Club VP / president-elect. He is in his 9th year managing Brigham's. He's married to Jess, and has two children: Jackson (5) and Julianna (2). When he can escape home and office you'll find him on his motorcycle.
Thanks went out last week to John McLaughlin for organizing our January 3rd Thursday get together at the Sideline Saloon. John noted he is encouraging venue suggestions for the February 3rd Thursday (2/16).
Last week we said good-bye to Katerina Livermore, a senior at PHS, and our guest for the month of January. Because she is part of the PHS Interact Club, she will likely be helping us out at our Auction on April 1.
