Despite a low turnout for 3rd Thursday at Antimony the past Thursday, the Kiva gift basket raffle raised $140 for Dave Hall and his Kiva program. Dave was happy and offered to bump it up to $200 total going into Kiva for loans. Thanks to those who were so generous and let's all try harder to make these fellowship events!
Our next assignment for Feed My Sheep is Monday December 8th.
We need 5-7 volunteers to assist with the activity. We have access to the Church starting at 4:30, to start preparing. Help is needed for prep, serving, which starts at 5:30 and ends at 6:00, and clean up.
We would also like to have some additional volunteers to break bread with the participants. If you are up for a great meal and can lend a listening ear, please let me know.

For those not familiar with Feed My Sheep:
Feed My Sheep is a community meal program at the First Baptist Church in Pittsfield. The Rotary has been involved in the program for a number of years along with several other community organizations. Each organization is part of a rotation that purchases, prepares, and serves a supper meal. There are currently 30-40 participants. Meals are prepared and then served between 5:30 and 6:00.
We have an update from Jay Bailly and Shuan Heimann on our food drive:
On Saturday November 1st, at Stop and Shop we collected $314.46 and 550 lbs of food. Many thanks to our volunteers that day.
On Saturday November 8th, we hit it out of the park on Saturday at WalMart! We collected $1,451.00 and 2,130 lbs. of Food! We had a total of 9 people covering the two shifts and ended up with a total of 15 carts of groceries. It was a phenomenal day thanks to all that were there to help!
