A fine group gathered at the newly opened Hot Plate Brewery off North Street in Pittsfield last Thursday. Owners Mike & Sarah pictured nearby, ensured there was plenty of delicious craft beer, hard seltzer and cider and wine available for the assembled Rotarians. The planning committee made certain there was a huge supply of wings and pizza available to soak up the suds. Hot Plate produces excellent beer in the opinion of this Sparks reporter! Hot Plate is located in the rear of the Onota Building, at the corner of North & School Streets. The establishment allows patrons to bring in food as they do not have a kitchen, guests are encouraged to utilize downtown restaurants. Hot Plate offers occasional live music, art and mini theater performances along with other unique entertainment options. Board games are available for those not wishing to stare at their Facebook feed in hopes of learning what their neighbors had for dinner and instead converse with their compadres. We wish the new entrepreneurs much success in there venture.
2023 Auction Update
Post cards and complimentary admission tickets are readily available, please see Robert Harrison for as many as you would like to send or give out.  As a reminder, the big event is slated for Saturday April 1, 2023.  Advertising forms have been out for some time, please see Don Kuczarski with completed forms and payment. While we have no anniversaries to report this week (things improve significantly next month) the mini annuity fund receives it's final payment this week as we wish happy birthday to Vin Marinaro.
Club Lottery
With no winner at last weeks meeting, the cash is really starting to build, in fact the winner may even be able to afford three dozen eggs and a full tank of gas! The pot is now $749, with 24 cards left in the deck, though we reported 27 cards last week; we shall engage with a forensic accountant to be sure we have the correct card count for the next award winning issue of Sparks, unless YOU win and the tote board is reset. Good luck!
