Fred Dery was unable to make the meeting, so we have no epic stories to pass on from last weeks meeting! Sorry folks. We did have a guest rotarian visit the club: Donna Collins from the Amesbury MA club. Jay Bailey gave a wrap-up of the food drive. He thanks John O’Brien, Carol, Sylvia and Nick for collecting and amazing 1,780 lbs of food and $176.00 on our last collection day. We also collected 2,579 lbs of food from the schools with thanks to Fred and his nephew, Jim and Erik for helping with the pickup. Overall, we collected 4,167 lbs of food and $3,674.00 cash. Thanks to Jay and Shaun for their hard work and all who volunteered. Speaking of volunteering, here are out members hard at work Feeding The Sheep! |

A great evening was enjoyed by a fairly large contingent of Rotarians as we gathered at the Sideline Saloon on Fenn St. Thanks as always to committee chair John McLaughlin who's tireless efforts always ensure a great monthly soiree. As a testament to his commitment, he left the office 30 minutes early to be sure we were properly feed and watered. Thursday evening proved to be a wonderful way to kick off the holiday season!
In celebration of Thanksgiving, Sparks Tower will be closed for the long weekend, as such we will not be publishing Sparks next week. We realize this may cause some of you to go through withdrawal but fear not! We will be back at it following the luncheon meeting on the 30th. We can't wait to hear the member minute of one Fred Dery as the pressure mounts to compete with the likes of Gwen and Adrienne.
