This month's 3rd Thursday evening social will be held at the Summer Whitehouse, known to many as Proprietor's Lodge, 22 Waubeek Road, Pittsfield.  The casual event kicks off about 5:00 PM, frequent denizen Mr. Whitehouse himself will hopefully be in attendance. He will be able to offer a tour, cocktail or menu advice or perhaps a brilliant anecdote to go along with the beautiful lake views, fine food and quaff. The rain looks to hold off until late night Thursday, therefore a great evening should be at hand.

 

 

Club dues bills have been prepared and sent out. Members will again be allowed to pre-pay for lunches. We still have some Rotarians out there who still need to get their respective tabs paid, please see Jeff Hassett to submit your dues payment.

Erik Ungewitter provided us a quick update on things as he moves along "Enjoying Life," Daughter Lena is entering her senior year at Sienna while daughter Grace enters her senior year at PHS. One more year of juicy fines! Erik has been with Scarafoni Financial Group for 23 years, and is joined at our weekly luncheons by his Rotarian bride Erin.

Feed My Sheep: Please note! For those volunteering, the date of service has been rescheduled to Monday 8.21.

 

Guests of honor: Eva Sereghy returned, undaunted by her Whitehouse experience, showing true Rotarian fortitude.  We were also joined for the last time this year by Erin's intern Sydney and President John's son Jackson.

 

Board Notes: The Board approved $1,000 to the Elizabeth Freeman Center and $3,000 in support of the Guatemala water project.
