In his first official act as Club President, President John cancelled this weeks meeting which would have been held on July 6th. John's wish is that we all enjoy the holiday week.

Regarding Thursday's lunch meeting, don't forget to RSVP your intent to Jayson Tanzman, by 5:00 p.m. Tuesday so he may give Mazzeo's a head count.

Our new leaders, President John Hudnal and our new board members were installed. John's message is to raise the public awareness of Rotary's mission and accomplishments and strive to improve community involvement.

Since 2014, Rotary Club of Pittsfield has been making Kiva loans for entrepreneurs doing amazing things. Kiva uses crowdfunded microloans as a force for good, creating a space where people can have one-to-one impact, and together, expand financial access for all. Check out the Kiva link on the Club's website to see the positive impact our Club has had. To that end, redcently Dave Hall invited Club members to join the Kiva committee which oversees the Club's Kiva investments. If you'd like to participate, contact Dave.

Gail has faithfully organized our quarterly shift for Feed My Sheep for the past nineteen years. Gail is retiring, and the Club is re-evaluating its commitment to the food program. The bottom line is that for us to continue preparing meals, we need a member to step up to take over the coordination. Are you that member? Please let incoming president John Hudnall know.

Club dues bills have been prepared, and  sent out. Members will again be allowed to pre-pay for lunches. Lets get these paid and closed!

The Rotary Club of Pittsfield Foundation typically solicits donations from members each spring, however, as Foundation president Jeff Hassett recently noted, because of the aggressive fundraising for the Whitehouse / Harris Scholarship in April, the Foundation board of directors felt that members may feel tapped out. If any Club member would like to contribute to the Foundation it would be appreciated.

Carol Leibinger-Healy has proposed Amy McNally for membership. Her classification is Transportation Administration.
