PDG Joanne Alfieri on Membership

Last week we heard from PDG Joanne Alfieri, Membership Chair for District 7890, who spoke about membership enhancement. She noted that in terms of Club goals, nothing else matters as compared to membership. Acknowledging that attrition is unavoidable, she gave a number of practical suggestions to reverse the pandemic losses sustained as a result of the pandemic.

Dues Outstanding

Last week Treasurer Jeff Hassett announced that he's made progress on collecting Club dues, to the point that only nine members are currently outstanding.

District Fellowship Golf Outing

District 7890's annual golf outing (not to be confused with Pittsfield's golf outing) is fast approaching - on Tuesday, September 20, at the Twin Hills Country Club in Longmeadow. 12:30 shotgun start, scramble format. As of this writing, only have 44 golfers have signed up. The district's contract with the course requires a minimum of 80 golfers. What do you say? As an added incentive, participants will have a chance to bring home so funds for the Club's next club service project.

Golf Tournament Sponsors, Players and Volunteers needed

Pittsfield Rotary's golf tournament is on September 28 at Country Club of Pittsfield. Sponsors and players are needed (forms are available on the Club website). If you don't golf, Joan DiMartino is seeking volunteers to work the event.
