Our guest speakers this week were Maureen Atwood (Executive Director) and Melissa Roller (Program Director) both from Pediatric Development Center. Pediatric Development Center (PDC) is an early intervention program serving infants and toddlers in Central Berkshire and the South Berkshire Counties. PDC is celebrating 40 years! In the fall of 1982, six determined women came together with a shared vision, to provide quality early intervention services and support for Berkshire county families in need. Now in their 40th year, the Pediatric Development Center celebrates making this vision a reality for thousands of Berkshire children and those who love them. The past few years have presented overwhelming hardships to so many in our community and beyond, while a growing number have looked to PDC for help and hope. Their devoted team of Developmental Specialists and Therapists continues to provide that help and hope, even—and sometimes especially—in challenging circumstances. The need for the work they do is growing – and they are committed to growing to meet that need. Each year they are grateful to all those who have made the commitment to help them keep theirs. This year, they hope that more will join them in caring for the youngest of our community. |
