Last week we honored to our PHS senior Rotary Interact Club students, who were thanked for their community service on behalf of Rotary. Mary Morrison, the PHS Interact Coordinator at PHS, introduced each senior. As Club Interact Coordinator Erik Ungewitter asserted to the students, "Congratulations and thank you for all your hard work and service to our community. Your futures are bright, and we cannot wait to see what you all will accomplish in the coming years." As members to Pittsfield Rotary Club, we have every reason to be proud of these outstanding young adults. 

 

Last week we said an emotional good-bye to Joan DiMartino, who is leaving the Club and Pittsfield to be closer to family in North Carolina. It's hard to imagine a Rotarian who exemplified "Service Above Self" more than Joan. We will miss her.

With Joan's departure from the Club, Jason Tanzman has taken over the responsibility of providing Mazzeo's a tentative head count for our meetings. To that end, please let Jason (jaysontanzman@aol.com) know by 5:00 p.m. Tuesday whether you will be attending our luncheon meeting.

No venue has yet been established for May's third Thursday social event. The Club's Fellowship Committee is seeking your suggestions for third Thursday venues for May and June.
