Congrats to Jayson Tanzman! This past week all Rotarians honored Jayson Tanzman with the 2024 Donald G. Butler Award. Our Rotary Prez could not have been more prouder of the recipient this year. John Hudnall in his own words: "When I was reminded that I needed to choose a Butler recipient this, I realized that so many people have stepped up to support me this past year. We have a great club with terrific members who all are there for one another. I’m proud of all of you. That being said, there was no question in my mind as to who has stepped up to keep me focused and on track. Every single week for the past year, this person has been there for me and has given me the support and advice I needed. I’ll bet this person doesn’t even know they have had such a positive impact on my Presidency. After hearing about Don Butler, I realize that our recipient truly has very similar values. Today’s recipient joined our club back in 2000. He lives in Pittsfield with his wife Jennifer and has 2 daughters. He works for Merrill Lynch and travels between offices in Albany and Pittsfield. Each week our recipient not only is the club greater and money collector, but he also sends lunch reminders to the entire club, calculates the responses and communicates those numbers to Mazzeos. That is a thankless job in and of itself! Our recipient graciously stepped up this year to co-chair our successful wine pairing and is current President of our Foundation Board. He is a member of Berkshire Hills CC and loves golfing. He loved playing hockey for a very long time and now is a hockey official. I was told by an anonymous Rotarian that our recipient graduated from the University of Hartford, but likes to say it quickly so it comes out as Harvard. That one I can’t confirm. He is always upbeat, cheerful, and ready to lend a hand. I truly want to thank our recipient for all he has done to support me this year. Our 2024 Donald G. Butler award recipient, Jayson Tanzman." |
