Last week's speaker was Carolyn Valli, the CEO at Central Berkshire Habitat for Humanity! Central Berkshire Habitat for Humanity partners with families to help them build a place they can call home. Homeowners work alongside volunteers to help build their own homes, which they then purchase with an affordable mortgage. To them and millions of people around the world, there is no better expression of love than to help our neighbors purchase their own home. For more than 25 years, they've worked alongside our neighbors to build strength, stability and self-reliance through affordable homeownership. Ownership that helps build stability in neighborhoods and communities where people can experience a good quality of life. Every day in the Berkshires, families dream of having a healthy, affordable home of their own. Having a stable home means children do better in school, parents often obtain better jobs, and improving the family's financial situation. A home makes the family and community thrive.
