The Club enjoyed a gala event at Cranwell on Saturday when Dick Laureyns was awarded the latest Paul Harris Fellowship.  Congratulations - and thank you - to the planning committee and underwriters who put together such an outstanding event, and special congratulations to Dick for his achievement.

Last week we hosted the Vocation Technical Training (VTT) Team from South Africa, whose vocational focus was early education.  At our Club meeting they provided an overview of themselves and the schools they represent. Special thank you to Gail Molari for organizing this week.

Last week we heard from Ed Woods and Fred Rutberg who described the transition of The Berkshire Eagle to local ownership.  The duo thanked those who have supported the paper with advertising, and promised more attention to local news.

We inducted a new member last week: Joanne Reilly, a local interior designer.  She is the daughter of Bud Reilly, a Rotarian who many of our more mature members will remember from several years ago.  Please help make Joanne feel welcomed to the Club.

Last week president Kelly congratulated Greg Knight and the 2016 Rotary Golf Tournament committee for another successful tournament that raised funds for local food pantries.

 

The following schedule of Club members has been created to rotate caretaking responsibilities among the membership. The date listed is the Thursday of the week assigned.  We ask that sometime during the week assigned, from the prior Sunday to the following Saturday, that the assigned Rotarian visit the Rotary book house (at the Boundless Playground), to clean out any trash, neaten the inventory, and determine whether additional books need to be acquired.  The first six weeks are assigned as follows:
