Interact is Rotary International's service club for young people ages 14 to 18. Interact clubs are sponsored by individual Rotary clubs, which provide support and guidance, but they are self-governing and self-supporting.

Our Club membership is coed and we have a membership of about 40 students from throughout the area schools and have regular attendance of 25 at each meeting. We meet twice monthly, the 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month at 6pm at the Gladys Allen Brigham Com. Ctr. Our Officers meet after the regular meeting to set agendas, speak with Chairs of events and deal with general Club business.

Each year, Interact clubs complete at least two community service projects, one of which furthers international understanding and goodwill. Through these efforts, Interactors develop a network of friendships with local and overseas clubs and learn the importance of:

· Developing leadership skills and personal integrity

· Demonstrating helpfulness and respect for others

· Understanding the value of individual responsibility and hard work

· Advancing international understanding and goodwill

Our international project this year will again be the 1,000 Mile Relay which will be held in May to benefit children suffering from AIDS in Africa. Our local projects include the Thanksgiving Food Baskets, the Annual Foster Child Holiday Party, putting together a tree for the Festival of Trees, the Annual Eagle Santa Toy Fund Parade, collecting food for the Rotary Club Food Drive with Rotarians, collected items and running the balloon raffle for the Rotary Auction as well as other events that come up throughout the year.

As one of the most significant and fastest-growing programs of Rotary service, there are more than 10,700 clubs in 109 countries and geographical areas, with almost 200,000 young people involved in Interact worldwide.
